The summer ends alive with hope for us to survive And in the fall, we feel alright and try to stay alive. Stay inside. It's alright. The longest winter starts before the fall wrings the cheer from us all conjures vacant eyes that stare through time to see the end of the tunnel. The twelve-month bender brings the ghosts of the dead dries up tears you would shed: an hypnotic salve for wounds you had before the world spun apart. Do you remember how to hold your head? Hear the words they have said? Hear the thunder of the trains you love on tracks above the city?

I was a stone on a mountaintop dragged to a never-ending drop. I was a bone buried in the rock a mile below, with a town on top. I was a machine that couldn't stop shoveling the world into a firebox. Yeah. Yeah. Dragged to a never-ending drop. Dragged to a never-ending drop. Dragged to a never-ending drop. Dragged to a never-ending drop.

Fine Words 03:46
You hear the sounds of emptiness again of being with just only you. There's no one else beyond the palace walls. There's nothing anyone can do. All that is is all that you might know and this terror holds you too. The further you go the farther you may see The less you can know what is true In the trash beside these words you could find a lifetime In the past beside these words you could find a lifetime Reality would fall apart if it couldn't be so pure The earth below would break and bend if it couldn't be so sure Drink what you want until you only know what it is you want to drink Eat what you can until you only know what it is that you can eat Sleep when you ant until you only know when it is that you can sleep In the trash beside these words you could find a lifetime In the past beside these words you could find a lifetime

I used to own an island. I own a banker's face and hands. I made a tax haven. I always cared about my friends growing fat on destiny. I used to own an island. Winter would melt away again. Container ships would roll in. Bring all that I might need, grown fat on destiny. I used to own an island. I used to be the one in charge. I used to watch the ships go. Nothing's left for me. Old and out of destiny. I used to own an island.

The papers of paradise tell the story of all the world's elite and all the money they could save. From the governments of the world. From the poor and the hungry Hoarding piles of treasure reaching to the sky. Oh, Panama, a life and a world away with an easy tax code I and all my kind won't ever try! We gave you our trust and you took it away Just decided not to reciprocate saving your money for a rainy day but it rains on everyone just the same and the world will be flooded from climate change before you'd think to give a care Oh Daphne Anne you took her life away for bringing a light onto the truth we needed for a day. Paradise. Paradise. Paradise There should never be unity with the criminals and corrupt enablers of murderers and thieves Oh, Panama, a life and a world away! Paradise! Paradise Paradise Paradise!

The press will accede The troops fall behind the sun will be so bright yeah when the next one comes when the next one comes they'll all say we won they'll all say we're done wrapped in the flag when the next one comes when the next one comes with the opposition weak, democracy will sleep The oligarchs won't weep the forests all will burn the ocean waters rise the greed will feel so right when the next one comes, yeah when the next one comes, yeah when the next one comes when the next one comes

where the party goes some will follow into darkness until the end of time where the party goes where the party goes they'll reject their eyes and ears to keep their peace of mind where the party goes where the party goes where the party goes they'll follow until the end of time we're boiling in a pot of water, it's heating up maybe they're unaware it's changing maybe they're ignorant maybe they're innocent maybe that constitutes the crime maybe they're unaware maybe they're having fun maybe it doesn't really matter absolute where the party goes where the party goes

Behold and shudder at the exhibition of this terrific and terrible dragon! Brought forth to swallow and devour your liberties and equal rights! Unholy party spirit and inordinate love of power gave it birth. Your patriotism and hatred of tyranny must strangle it in its infancy. Behold! Behold! this iniquitous and terrible dragon! Behold! Behold! this aristocratic, terrible dragon! When tyranny and arbitrary power, thus, make inroads on the rights of the people. Well, what becomes of the duties of a citizen? Shall we submit to usurpers? Are the citizens of this republic less jealous of their rights than their ancestors? Will you then permit a party to disenfranchise the people? No! It must be dislodged! Behold! Behold! this iniquitous and terrible dragon! Behold! Behold! this aristocratic, terrible dragon! Behold! Behold! this tyrannous and hateful dragon! Behold! Behold! this arbitrary and terrible dragon! Behold! Behold! this iniquitous and terrible dragon! Behold! Behold! this aristocratic, terrible dragon! Behold! Behold! this tyrannous and hateful dragon! Behold! Behold! this arbitrary and terrible dragon!

I'm awake I finally decided that I need to rise but my eyes don't want to see I'm on my feet I'm thirsty and dry but my mouth don't want to drink and I can't think The floaters in my eyes spell out words in a kind of disguise A meaning lost to inebriated memories of last night's revelries I'm awake Despite my every effort to keep myself asleep it crept up on me The floaters in my eyes spell out words in a kind of disguise A meaning lost to inebriated memories of last night's revelries I'm awake
